Nintendo eShop is unavailable in Russia, so Switch owners create an account in another country and top it up with codes. A Nintendo eShop top-up code and a Nintendo Switch Online subscription code are entered the same way, but both are tied to the country of the Nintendo account. Nintendo codes we have codes for the US, Europe, Japan and other regions.
On Nintendo Switch
- Turn on the console and open Nintendo eShop from the home menu.
- Select the account you are activating the code for.
- In the left menu, scroll down and select "Use Code" (Enter Code).
- Enter the 16-digit code using the on-screen keyboard.
- Confirm. The amount will be credited to your balance, and the Switch Online subscription will be applied immediately.
You can also redeem the code on the Nintendo website in the Redeem section by signing in to the same account.
Nintendo account region
The Nintendo account country is changed in the profile settings on the Nintendo website, but only when the balance is zero: any remaining wallet funds are lost when the region changes. So spend the money first, then change the country. It's more convenient to create a separate account for the region you need; Switch supports multiple users.
Errors
- "Code cannot be used in your country." The code's region and the account's region don't match.
- "Code has already been used." Contact us with your order number.
- eShop won't open. Make sure the system region is set to one where the store operates and that the console is connected to the internet.
Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions by duration and region are collected in the section “Top-up”, answers to other questions — in FAQ.
