A Steam wallet code adds funds to your account balance in the currency it was issued in. If your account wallet is in rubles, you need a ruble code; tenge and hryvnia codes only work with Kazakhstan and Ukraine accounts. Steam codes and top-up we have available for Russia, Kazakhstan and the CIS.
In the Steam client
- Open Steam and sign in to your account.
- Click your name in the top right corner → "Account Details".
- Select "Add funds to Steam Wallet" → "Redeem a Steam Wallet Code".
- Enter the code and confirm. The funds will be credited immediately.
In a browser
On the Steam website, open the wallet code activation page ("Account Details" section → "Redeem a Steam Wallet Code"), sign in to your account and enter the code. This is handy if the client isn't installed.
Errors
- "This code is intended for a different currency". The wallet currency doesn't match the code. The account currency is tied to the region and doesn't change on its own, so you need a code in your currency.
- "The code has already been redeemed". Contact us with your order number.
- Activation requires country confirmation. Steam sometimes asks you to confirm your region on the first top-up from another country. Only confirm your real country: changing your region to a foreign one leads to account restrictions.
Top-up without a code, by login
Faster and with no limits on the amount: top-up by Steam login. You only need your login (the sign-in name shown at the top of the "Account Details" page, not your nickname or email); no password is needed. The money arrives in your wallet automatically, 24/7. A mistake in the login will send the money to someone else's account, so check it before paying. More about the methods in the guide "How to top up Steam and PSN in Russia". We buy games and add them to your account right away: "Steam games".
